Personal Notes: My first teacher in the junior school was Miss Snead who taught me 'joined up writing.' My last teacher was Miss Isherwood.
My only claim to fame was having my leg crushed against a wall by a dinner trolley being ridden upon by two other pupils and causing a storage room door to jam which necessitated its window having to be broken so that access could be gained. I progressed to Beal Grammar School.
