Personal Notes: Now retired. After WT, Brentwood School, then South West Essex Technical College 1958-63. Joined Directorate of Overseas Surveys in 1963. Qualified as a Chartered Surveyor - the mapping control variety. Worked in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific, before settling in Australia in 1979.
Met Val (from East Ham) in Uganda in 1965. Married in 1968. John (1969) and Liz (1971) followed.
Joined the Department of Mapping & Surveying, Brisbane and worked with them and successors until 2000.
Looking forward to growing Australian native plants, rehabilitating farmed land and bird-watching.
